General Questions
We number your folders, based on the carousels or stacks of slides and photos you, but you are welcome to change the names of the folders once you receive the discs.
Unfortunately, no. The time it would take to look at each picture, note the number, work the image, check the file, check the image, check the number again, would drive up our low prices. In addition, our scanner is semi-automated, meaning that, if a slide is bent or otherwise defective, it may not feed properly and then be skipped, thereby throwing off the batch of numbers. We will number the photos to keep them in order, but we cannot guarantee that our numbers will be the same as yours.
In a word, no. Artists wanting to digitize their work would do well to contact a company that offers “drum scanning” (costs around $30 a slide). We don’t offer drum scanning, but many reputable companies do.
The size of the image will be 5256 x 3544 pixels. Currently, the highest resolution on an HDTV is 1080 X 1920 pixels. Bear in mind, the quality of the images will depend on the quality of the original slides. People sometimes underestimate the quality of their old slides, but we get the images as sharp as we can. How these display will have a lot to do with how you’ve set up your TV. Our slide show will display in 16:9 mode, which fits all contemporary HDTVs.
Sure. Put your 35mm slides or photos into separate envelopes or plastic bags, or bind them together with a rubber band, and then label them appropriately. Separate stacks of 35mm slides or photos will be considered to be separate "shows" unless clearly noted. For example, mark one stack "Show 1A" and then the next one "Show 1B" and so on, which tells us that you want stacks 1A, 1B and 1C all in "show" number one. We will do up to 12 "shows" free, but each additional "show" will cost $1.

Just tell us you need your job expedited. Be aware, though, that, in order to keep the regular job queue straight and the target dates on-time, we have to pay someone to come in and work overtime on expedited orders. You will bear that cost.
Each Jpeg slide when scanned at 2000DPI makes the size around 2MB. One DVD can hold upto 4.7 Gig. It will be over 2000 slides per DVD.
We scan slides at 2000, 3000 and 4000 DPI. For most people 2000 DPI is good and works well for general viewing. But if you are going to make larger prints like 16 x 20 or even more larger then 4000 DPI is the option. For 4 x 6 or 5 x 7 prints 2000 DPI just works fine.
When you sign our contract, you agree to give our photo technicians the final decision on all color. Please understand: we simply can’t bear the cost of re-scanning slides and photos and then transferring them to new discs. Redoing colors after the project is completed will need to be treated as a new project, with all the attendant costs.
